We embarked on a Literacy Project that we never expected to be so HUGE thanks to the generous assistance from Bernie's Books!
The Rotary Club of Elgin provided about 18,000 books, games, puzzles, and interactive electronic books to the Hope for the Holidays Christmas Gift Program through Elgin's Salvation Army and Community Crisis Center.
More books, totaling over 2,200 were given to: Centro de Informacion, Fox Valley Christian Action, Marklund School & Residences, TLC Pregnancy, Gail Borden Public Library's "Welcome Baby" Program, the YWCA, Good Shepherd Preschool, Literacy Connection, Second Baptist Church, and South Elgin Police Department.
