The Foundation funds:

Need-based scholarships to Elgin Community College for local students and community projects, particularly food pantries, literacy programs, and youth and leadership programs.

Through scholarships, we have helped 15 to 20 students of various ages realize their dream of a better education, a better job, and for some a dream come true.  The scholarship recipients have shared many inspiring stories that make us realize how important it is for the Club to offer this help.   The club continues to improve the community by supporting food pantries, literacy programs, and many youth leadership programs.  Through Rotary International, we have also supported humanitarian efforts abroad.  ShelterBox, End Polio Now,  and water and  hospital projects in Kenya have all received support from our club.  Last year, we proudly funded over $60,000 to our local and world community.
